The 6-Week Season
Every MFL season runs on a 6-week cycle. It's fast, it's intense, and every single phase demands your attention. Miss a deadline and you could find yourself auto-relegated with a voided squad. Let's walk through each phase so you know exactly what's coming.
Registration is non-negotiable. If you fail to register your club before the deadline, you are auto-relegated and all player contracts are voided. Late registration is possible, but you'll start with a points penalty. Set a reminder. Write it on your hand. Tattoo it on your forehead. Whatever it takes.
Pre-Season
The calm before the storm. This is your window to prepare.
- Transfer window opens -- start signing players to fill or improve your squad
- Player pack drop -- new player packs hit the MFL Store
- Club registration -- you must register your club for the upcoming season
- Set your tactics -- choose your formation and game plan before matchday 1
Registration and signing contracts are the two things you cannot skip. Miss registration and you're auto-relegated. Miss the transfer window and you're fielding an empty squad.
In-Season
This is where it all happens. Matches, training, and constant squad decisions.
- Daily matches -- your club plays a league match every day. Some days are double matchdays when IMFF Cup fixtures run alongside league play.
- Daily training -- your players earn XP automatically each day. No action needed, but it adds up fast over the season.
- Squad management -- keep an eye on energy levels, rotate your squad, and adjust tactics as needed. Running the same XI every day will burn them out.
- Pre-contracts open midway -- halfway through the season, you can start negotiating contracts for the next season. Get ahead of the competition.
The managers who stay active every day have a massive advantage. Check in, rotate, adapt.
Mid-Season Transfer Window
A short but critical break in the action.
- Two days with no matches -- use this time to make moves
- Sign up to 3 new players -- reinforce your squad for the second half
- Mid-season pack drop -- fresh player packs hit the store
- Pre-contracts begin a few days after the window closes -- start locking in deals for next season
This window is your chance to fix what's broken. Short on forwards? Leaking goals? Three signings can turn your whole season around.
Post-Season
The dust settles. Time for rewards and consequences.
- Rewards day -- $MFL is distributed based on your final league position. Higher division, higher rewards.
- Playoffs -- clubs on the edge of promotion and relegation battle it out in playoff matches. These decide who goes up and who goes down.
- Rollover day -- divisions are reshuffled based on final standings, and the next pre-season begins immediately
One season ends, the next one starts. The cycle never stops.

Survival Tips
- Register your club. Seriously. Auto-relegation is brutal and completely avoidable.
- Don't ignore energy. Players who play every match will burn out. Rotate your squad.
- Use the mid-season window. Three signings can save a bad season or push a good one over the top.
- Start pre-contracts early. The best players get locked up fast. Don't wait until the last day.
- Show up every day. Daily management separates the contenders from the pretenders.
