Arena and Pro Manager
MFL has two game modes. Arena is fast, free and on demand. Pro Manager is the deep end: your own club, players you truly own, official leagues and cups, and a real economy. Many managers play both.

Arena and Pro Manager share one account
The short version
- One account, one $MFL balance. $MFL you win in Arena is yours to use across MFL.
- Gems stay in Arena. They can't become $MFL or buy anything in Pro Manager.
- Arena players stay in Arena. Pro players can play in either mode, one mode per Pro Manager season.
What's Shared, What's Not
| Arena | Pro Manager | |
|---|---|---|
| Your account | Shared | Shared |
| $MFL | Earned from Elite up, can be converted to Gems | Used for transfers, contracts and more |
| Gems | Arena only | Not used |
| Arena players | Play here | Can't join |
| Pro players | Can join your Arena squad | Their home mode |
| Your club | Your Arena club | A separate Pro Manager club |
Pro Players in Both Modes
A Pro player can play in Arena or in Pro Manager, but only one mode per Pro Manager season:
- Once he's in your matchday squad for an Arena match (XI or bench), he can't play in Pro Manager until the end of the season.
- If he has played in Pro Manager this season, he can't join your Arena squad until the next one.
When the Pro Manager season ends, his Arena contract ends too: he goes back to your reserve, free to go either way again. Arena warns you before any move that locks a player. See Players.
Stepping Up to Pro Manager
Arena is a great way to learn MFL, and much of what you learn there (squads, positions, tactics, the match engine) carries over to Pro Manager. When you want more, Pro Manager adds:
- A club you own. Brand it, build it, run it season after season.
- Players you truly own. Buy, develop and resell them on the MFL market.
- Official competitions. Leagues with promotion and relegation, cups and playoffs, on a fixed 6-week calendar.
- Contracts and negotiations with other managers.
- Energy, training and rotation to manage over a full season.
Start with the Pro Manager overview and Acquiring a Club. You can open Pro Manager from the Arena menu at any time.
