Players

Every player in MFL has a card: an overall rating, six attributes, positions, a rarity and room to grow. In Arena you will meet two kinds of players: Arena players and Pro players.

The short version

  • Arena players are created for your Arena club. They play only in Arena and can't be sold.
  • Pro players are the players of Pro Manager. Managers buy and sell them on the market. They can also play in Arena.
  • A Pro player plays in one mode per Pro Manager season.

Arena players are generated for your club. They are yours to keep, develop and play for as long as you like, but they live in Arena.

Pro players are the players of Pro Manager. If you own some, you can bring them into Arena, and you can buy new ones from the Market tab inside Arena.

One mode per season. Once a Pro player is in your matchday squad for an Arena match, he can't play in Pro Manager until the end of the Pro Manager season, and the other way round. Arena warns you before you confirm.

Reading a Player Card

Arena players and Pro players share the same card.

An MFL player card

A player card: overall, positions and the six attributes

  • OVR: the big number, how good a player is in his main position. It's built from his six attributes: pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defense and physical.
  • Rarity: follows OVR, from Common up to Ultimate. As a player improves, his rarity can go up too. Your starter squad is Common: everyone starts at the bottom.
  • Positions: every player has a main position and maybe a secondary one or two. Play him anywhere else and his attributes drop, the further from his position the worse. The squad screen shows the malus on the card.
  • Potential: hidden. It's the highest OVR he can reach. Young players usually have the most room to grow. See Player Progression.
