How to Participate
Joining the Nations Cup comes down to three steps: buy shares in a nation, help elect its manager, and (if you run and win) build the squad. Here is how each one works.
Step 1: Buy Shares in Your Nation(s)
Shares are how you enter the Nations Cup. $0.99 per share (or 800 $MFL). You can back one nation or spread across many. Each nation earns independently.
The basics:
- $0.99 per share (or 800 $MFL)
- Shares cannot be sold or transferred
- Available in packs of 1, 10, or 100
Every share you own gives you:
- A cut of the $25,000+ Bonus Cash prize pool, proportional to your holdings, based on how far your nation goes
- A vote in your nation's manager election (1 share = 1 vote, up to a maximum of 200 votes per nation even if you hold more shares)
- Access to Fan Rally for that nation
- Perks at various share milestones (badges, squad upgrades, packs, and more)
You can back as many nations as you want. If you hold 100 shares in France and 50 in Brazil, you earn rewards from both, proportional to your holdings in each.

Step 2: Elect Your Nation's Manager
Each nation has a manager elected by shareholders. The manager builds the squad, sets the formation, picks the lineup, and makes every tactical call during the competition. They also choose their own staff to help them on their world-conquering quest.
How voting works:
- 1 share = 1 vote. You can only use up to 200 shares to vote for the manager of each nation, even if you hold more shares than that.
- You need 10 or more shares in a nation to be eligible as a candidate
- You can change your vote freely until June 9 (soft lock). After that, first-time votes are still allowed, but you can no longer switch.
- June 10 is the hard lock. Voting fully closes and results are final.
You can only hold one staff position across all 48 nations.
Step 3: Build the Squad
Once elected, the manager selects their nation's squad from all MFL players of that nationality.
Squad size:
- Base squad: 20 players
- Expands to 25 players when the nation reaches 1,000 total shares sold
Managers can select their own players for the national team. However, managers cannot claim the agent revenue share for their own called-up players.
The squad-lock window:
The manager's roster locks 24 hours before the nation's first match. This means the preparation window varies depending on when your nation plays.
If your nation's first match is on June 12 (Day 1 of group stage), the roster locks on June 11. If your nation doesn't play until June 15, the roster doesn't lock until June 14.
That gives some of the newly elected managers little time to build their squads and tactics. Keep that in mind if you're in the running for a managerial position.
Once your nation has a manager and a squad, the real edge comes from Fan Rally. Every shareholder can pitch in, and the leading nation gets up to +3 OVR on match day.
